Professional Experience

President, San Marcos Academy, San Marcos, TX     2018 - Present
As President, I am responsible for the three campuses contained in the 220 acres of San Marcos Academy. This includes physical plant, residential life, academics, development, and strategic planning. 

Academic Dean, San Marcos Academy, San Marcos, TX     2018 
As Academic Dean, I am responsible for faculty, curriculum, and administration for grades k-12. The Academic Dean serves on the President's Council and oversees academic programming and budget.

Associate Academic Dean, San Marcos Academy, San Marcos, TX     2015 - 2018
As Associate Academic Dean, I was responsible for the faculty, curriculum, and administration of grades 6 through 8.  While holding some teaching responsibilities, I also serve on several campus committees including; School Priorities Committee, Department Chair Committee, and the Campus Crisis Management Team.

Head of School, The Master’s School, San Marcos, TX      2008-2015
As Head of School, I was responsible for the day-to-day operations.  Serving as the liaison from the Board, it was my job to implement the strategic plan through the mission and vision of the Board and the school.  This was done through operations, finance, personnel decisions, advancement, curriculum, and students.  I also served as the Middle School Greek Teacher, teaching two sections of beginning Koine Greek.

Assistant Principal, The Master’s School, San Marcos, TX     2007-2008
As Assistant Principal, it was my job to assist the Principal in the supervision of teachers and curriculum, including the instruction and discipline of students.  

Music Teacher/Chaplain, The Master’s School, San Marcos, TX     2005-2007
As Music Teacher, I taught kindergarten through 8th-grade students in music.  This included music history, theory, and period appreciation from Baroque through the 20th-century composers.  As Chaplain, I coordinated and scheduled the weekly chapel services at the school.  I would often preach and lead worship for the service.

Teaching Pastor, River Stone Community Church, San Marcos, TX     2004-2011
As Teaching Pastor, I was responsible for preaching and occasional worship leading.  I was involved in the planning and leadership of the church from its inception.  I was one of two people who planted the church in San Marcos, Texas.

Director of Outdoor Education, Highland Lakes Camp & Conference Center, Spicewood, TX     2004-2005
I developed curriculum and hiring staff to teach orienteering, canoeing, fishing, camping, riflery, archery, swimming, and challenge course.  School districts would rent the camp facility and participate in the three-day education program.  I successfully recruited Eanes ISD who continues to utilize this program today.

Pastor of Youth, Recreation, and Contemporary Worship, First Baptist Church, Kingsland, TX     1999-2004
I developed and ran the youth program for 6th through 12th grades.  This included Sunday school, Wednesday night, mission trips, youth events, and discipleship.  In the recreation program, I ran the Upward Basketball and Cheer programs.  Additionally, I was selected to pilot the Upward Soccer and Upward Football programs. As the contemporary worship leader, I was in charge of the worship for the contemporary service which averaged 250 attenders.

Seven Soils is a non-profit organization that exists to mobilize the Kingdom of God among all people in every nation, providing pathways for believers around the world to participate in advancing the Gospel.

 TEEM Haiti, 2012 - Present
TEEM Haiti is a non-profit organization that works to teach, empower, equip and mentor the people of Haiti.  

For His Glory Adoption Outreach, 2009-Present

For His Glory is a Christian non-profit ministry, partnering with Maison des Enfants de Dieu, an orphanage in Haiti, as they seek to care for and meet the needs of orphans in Haiti.  

San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, 2011-2015
Education Committee
I served on a committee formed by the Chamber of Commerce for the city of San Marcos.  This committee is made up of educators and administrators of both private and public schools.

San Marcos Youth Master Plan Committee, City of San Marcos, 2013
This is a committee formed by the Mayor of San Marcos in order to form a youth master plan for the city of San Marcos.  

River Stone Community Church, 2004-2012
Not only did I serve as an elder, but I served as a founding pastor for this church.

Commissioner, City of San Marcos Housing Authority, 2009-2010
Served as a commissioner that determined the budget and policy for the Housing Authority for the city of San Marcos.  This was a mayoral appointment.
